Before you light it.
How do I use it?
Light it in the room you are actually in, and let it burn long enough for the wax to melt to the edge. Trim the wicks before each burn, use it on a stable level surface, and keep it away from drafts, children and pets.
One candle is suited to a room of about 150–250 ft². In larger or open-plan spaces, use more than one.
What is it made of?
A 12 oz (340 g) blend of soy at 55%, coconut at 35% and beeswax at 10%, with three lead-free cotton wicks, in a matte cream glass jar. Scent, where there is any, comes from essential oils. There is no paraffin, no phthalate, no dye and no synthetic fragrance. The wax also carries a trace of metallic silver at roughly 10 micrograms per gram.
How long does one candle burn?
About 40 hours, at roughly 8 grams per hour. Trim the wicks before each burn and let the first burn reach the edge of the jar.
How strong is the scent?
Deliberately restrained. Most of this category competes on throw strength. This one does not — the scent is meant to be noticed when you walk in and then leave you alone.
